I know him from some movies but especially like him as Judge Henry Bone in the TV hit series 'Picket Fences'
he died at home with his wife Ruth at his side
Ray married Ruth Calvert on 3. November 1943...they have one daughter, Katherine Ann
once it was said, that he gets a TV series together with Fyvush Finkel, who was Douglas Wambaugh on 'Picket Fences', but I never heard or read about this project again
at his 1995 Emmy acceptance speech he said:"I have 30 seconds to tell you I have been waiting 60 years to get on this stage!"
